HENS PARTY FAQ’S –
I’ve never done a dance class before, will I be able to do it?
Absolutely!, our classes are designed to suit all ages, sizes and dancing levels. We personally tailor the class to suit your needs, so please advise us of anything that you desire. The classes are based on everybody having a great time and lots of FUN!!, so there is nothing to worry about as far as the dance steps are concerned. And our instructors are more than capable to deliver the perfect dance routine that your party goers will all be able to learn and enjoy doing!
How long are the Dance Parties?
Our dance parties are usually 1.5 hours long which allows plenty of time for popping your champagne!, meeting your instructor, warm ups, learning a dance routine, the dance battle, photographs & videos, having FUN!, and the awesome choreographed end performance and goodbyes!. (please note our dance parties can be longer or shorter at your request to suit your specific needs, so just ask us Here!).
How many people do we need?
We cater for any group size, you can have less than 10 people in the group if you like, however the minimum payment needs to be for 10 people or less as explained on our Hens Party Page .
Can I have my party during the day?
Yes Certainly!, We can host a Hens Party anytime and anywhere from Monday to Sunday 9am – 12pm
Whats included in the price?
The price includes the dance instructor, venue hire, dance class, champagne on arrival, water & nibbles & the music, sound & disco lights. We also offer a variety of extra services such as male strippers and canapes which you can add into your booking if desired at an extra cost. Call us today to discuss the options that suit you best.
How do we book and pay?
Contact our office by phone or email to book your party and make your first initial holding deposit. As the dance instructor is not allowed to except payments on the day at the venue. Book Now
Are you support LGBTQI+ Inclusive?
Absolutely!, we are massive supporters of all communities & cultures and as a choreographer of many Sydney Mardi Gras & Harbour Party performances myself I hold the LGBTQI+ community in very high regard as I have been involved in the community for many many years, so absolutely yes everybody is welcome to come along and have a SUPER FUN Dance Party with us!..
Do I need to be super fit?
Absolutely not!, our classes are suitable for people of all fitness levels and ages. Our instructors are used to tailoring and adapting the dance parties and choreography to suit individual group needs, so everyone can just have fun! and enjoy themselves. If you have any major concerns though please don’t hesitate to call us to have a chat about the dance level that will suit you best, our classes are based on fun effective steps not difficult ones. And if anyone in your group has a medical issue or prior injury, please make sure to get medical clearance from your local GP if need be beforehand, and tell the dance instructor before the class.
Where are you based?
We are a mobile service & have venues across Sydney, Wollongong & the Gold Coast that we hire for your close convenience, which range from Hotels, Bars, Dance Studios and Function Rooms. We arrange and pay for the venue as part of your package booking, so you can have a stress free party. Or if you would like us to come to a venue that you have pre arranged & booked, or a private home residence we can do that as well.
Can we bring spectators?
Of Course you can, the more people the merrier!, just let us know how many spectators you are bringing and the dance instructor can get them involved in taking the photos and videos & judging the Dance off!. And they can come along and join in the fun, & watch for free!.
Can I hold it in a public place?
Yes you can, If you hire a public venue, the party needs to be held in a private area large enough for everybody to move around in & where the teacher is able to play the music. If the party is in your home or another preferred location, we come to you fully equipped with our own portable sound and disco lights! and you just need to supply the dancing area, such as a backyard or loungeroom, or any space that is big enough for your group to dance in comfortably etc…
Do I need to provide music Ipod/music player?
No you don’t, we come fully equipped with a large speaker and ipod. With all of your favourite songs on the playlist to match your dance party theme perfectly!.
What should I wear?
You can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, though we recommend that you dress up in the theme of your party as it adds to the fun and excitement!, or you can dance in your regular party clothes and heels, or even in a comfy tracksuit. We suggest comfortable shoes for the 80’s parties but please feel free to wear flats or heels for the Burlesque, Gatsby, Single Ladies and Video Vixen parties, or Barefeet, if you feel like it..
Most of the time people get together and organise a group themed costume, or they just wear there regular party clothes, so just be mindful when planning your outfits of having to carry extra bits and bobs around with you after the class, as if you plan to be moving around a lot from venue to venue throughout the night, you may not want to be carrying extra outfits..
So if you want to keep it minimal, sometimes a fun cheap easy prop that you can fit into your handbag from a $2 dollar shop is all you need to make your outfit pop!, if you don’t want to carry or take your dancing clothes back to your accomodation or car afterwards etc….
Do I need to provide anything (props etc)?
No you don’t have to provide anything. As your hostess will bring suitable props for your guests to use. Though we do encourage you to dress up in costume for your specific theme if possible as it makes the party a lot more F.U.N!, and your photos & videos look much better as well!, but it is not a necessity… Some people like to hire or buy extra props or costumes online which you are totally welcome to do, but just make sure to factor in the time needed for delivery etc. Or you can always just grab something easy & fun from your local $2 dollar shop that does the trick!.
Is there anything else that I need to know?
No, it’s natural to feel a little bit apprehensive beforehand, but you will be surprised how quickly you will all relax into it, and laugh Non Stop!! as there is no previous dance experience needed. Lady Jayne’s Hens Night Dance Classes are purely about having F.U.N and enjoying time out with your girlfriends. So once you have had a little Champagne for liquid courage, you will be off and running!! and having an absolute BLAST!!
Are there change rooms or a bathrooms/toilets?
Yes there will always be change rooms and toilet amenities available at all of the venues we hire.
Do you have a dance studio, or venue to hire?
Yes we have many dance studio’s and other suitable venue’s right across Sydney, Wollongong and the Gold Coast that we pre book & hire for your personal convenience, to make you day flow as easily as possible for you.
Is there a deposit required?
We do not require the full amount up front, but a 50% deposit payment is required to secure the date that you have selected within 7 days of your initial booking, with the remaining 50% due 2 weeks before the actual date of your party. An invoice is sent to you for the 1st Deposit Payment after you have secured your date. But please note – if you are not sure of the exact number of people in you group at the time of booking, you can always just pay a holding deposit and then pay the remaining balance down the track once you have all of your numbers in closer to your party date, for your convenience.
As long as we have the initial booking date locked in, then the exact number of girls, dance party theme, start time, and specific location can be worked out as we go along, as I understand that it takes time to gather all of this information and to receive all of your RSVP’s in the beginning stages…
How much time ahead do we need to book a Hens party?
It’s totally up to you, the sooner you book the more chance you have of securing the exact date & time that you prefer. But we take last minute bookings as well, so just email us today to Book your party!!.
Are we allowed to take photos & videos of the party?
Yes certainly, you can take as many photos & videos as you like, and during the party we will take some photos & videos as well..
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes we do. But you are responsible for your personal belongings and your behaviour in and around the studio for the specific time the location is hired for your Dance Party.
Is there any age limit for participants?
There is no age limit for any of our Hens Night Dance Classes though minors must have an adult with them on entering some of our Hotel locations and be 18 to consume alcohol, plus have parental consent. Feel free to bring you mothers and grandmas as we love to get everyone up and dancing and it’s great to spend this occasion with all of the women in your family, plus it’s always a hoot to watch grandma cut a rug!, or if they don’t want to dance, they can kick back and sip champagne and watch the F.U.N!! and still be actively involved in making everlasting memories and being apart of the special day!!.
Lastly please make sure that any pregnant, elderly or injured participants have prior permission & doctors clearance to take part in the dancing!.
How much space is needed?
Just enough room for all of your guests to be able to dance comfortably & move around in.
FIRST WEDDING DANCE FAQ’s –
Who?
Lady Jayne will work with you and your partner to create a memorable First Wedding Dance routine just for you the Bride and Groom. You do not need any previous dancing experience.
What?
First Wedding Dance rehearsals are a great idea to help you and you partner move well to avoid any extra stress on your Wedding Day. In these lessons we promise to take any nerves that you may have away, so you can totally relax and enjoy your Special Day!.
Where?
Lessons are held in a dance studio that is convenient to you, or any room that you can comfortably move around in. We will organise the rehearsal room as part of your booking. Chat with us so we can arrange a suitable venue located near you, for your convenience.
Why?
Avoid the ‘Step and Sway’ and enjoy your Special moment!. Couples continually tell me how much they enjoyed the lessons and bonding time with their partner in the lead up to their wedding day.
When?
It’s up to you!. We are flexible and can cater to your needs. Lessons are either 60 or 90 mins long and most people book about 4 hours to begin with a few months before the wedding date. Don’t worry if you’ve left it until the last minute though – we can certainly arrange last minute lessons and are flexible with how many lessons you book, it really depends on how intricate you would like your dance routine to be, and how long the music is etc.

BRIDAL PARTY LESSONS FAQ’S –
How many lessons will we need for our Bridal Party?
This all depends on the level of dance routine that you want to achieve and how many people are in your group etc. So once we have discussed the length of your songs and what you are hoping to achieve, then we will be able to come to a decision on how many lessons you will need. From past experiences it is best to start organising this process about 2 – 3 months before the wedding as usually the hardest part about Bridal Party/Group rehearsals is being able to get everyone together to rehearse in the same room at the same time, which is something that you need to take into consideration when organising larger groups. Feel free to contact us to discuss any questions you may have regarding your Bridal Party Lessons, as we are always here to help and to give you solutions to any logistical problems big or small. If you would like to create a Bridal Party Dance with short notice there is always a way to make it work, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch today!.
What happens if some of our Bridal Party members live overseas, but still want to be apart of the dance routine?
With the internet we can coach your overseas guests online. We will rehearse the people that you have in Australia in a local studio. Then when your guests arrive we can have a rehearsal or 2, with everyone as a group before the Wedding Day.
How do we choose the music and theme?
Before you contact us have a think about what songs you would like to use and then we can have a chat and discuss what type of music, theme and vibe you would like to go with and what would suit your wedding. Most of the time people have a few songs in mind that mean a lot to them, so this is a personal thing that we can work out and narrow down with before you commit to your rehearsals.
How do I reschedule lessons?
Contact us to check availability for another rehearsal time.
Can we reschedule booked lessons at any time?
Rebooking lessons with a large group to consider can be quite hard, so I suggest you try to get everyone to fully commit before booking, of course there are exceptions where this has to happen but we do require at least 7 days notice to give the instructor and the rehearsal venue enough time to be able to rearrange things to suit everyone, less notice then this usually means that the rehearsal venue and teachers time has all ready been paid for etc etc, so we would appreciate as much notice as possible.
Is there any flexibility for special circumstances for rescheduling lessons?
Of course we will do our best to accommodate you in every way we can and in every situation. Call us straight away on 0418964485 so we can talk through the rescheduling.
How many people do we need in our Bridal Party dance routine?
There is no set amount of people needed to book this service, we can teach any size group, large or small.
Do we need to be experienced dancers?
Absolutely not!, all our instructors are Australia’s most sought after Dance Teachers, so they are more than capable of working with all levels of dance ability. At Hens Night Dance Classes we make everybody feel exceptionally welcome and know how to bring out the best in everyone. We take the time to teach each individual properly and equally so all your party members will feel excited, uplifted and proud of themselves. We create effective easy to learn dance steps to keep your wedding guests engaged and thrilled by your Bridal Parties performance!. You don’t need to be professional dancers you just need to come with a smile and have fun! and the learning part will take care of itself.
Are there any age limits to participate in the dance?
No, Not at all, we have had people from all age groups get involved. Grandma and Grandpa are welcome and so are children, as long as everyone has had a medical clearance from there local GP, there good to go. So please check our terms and condition page in regards to this. We don’t mind what age group your guests are as long as you are happy with the guests that you include.
What are the prices?
Contact us for a personalised quote as prices vary depending on how many lessons you book and the length of each lesson etc. Together we can come up with a rehearsal schedule that suits you best, and then give you a quote that will be more accurate to your specific booking.
What should we wear to the lessons?
Please wear whatever you feel most comfortable moving in. We suggest loose fitting clothes like tracksuit pants and a t-shirt and sneakers. But if the ladies are planning on performing in high heels at the wedding, please bring them along, so you can start to get used to doing the dance moves in them as your lessons progress along.
